After a long winter hibernation it started right up.

Anyone with a TV knows its been a long hard winter here in Mass.  I put my 750 in storage back in October.  When I put it away it was the only bike in there.  When I went to check on yesterday there were 5 other bikes in there.  Thank God my wife never goes in there!!

I uncovered the bike, turned the gas on, opened the choke and kicked it.  Nothing.  Kick 2, nothing.  Kick 3 and it came to life.  Now if it ever warms up enough I will take it for a ride.  I cant wait to ride it and then ride my new 750 Norton and compare the two.  Although riding the Norton will take a learning curve.  It shifts on the right AND the pattern is 1 up and 3 down.

I wonder which bike I will like better? Which one will have more power?  Which one will handle better?  I cant wait to find out.

Today I finished up putting new airbox rubbers and moving the needle jet clips on my 72 CB750.  Started it up and went for a 5 mile ride.  Came back and got the 71 BSA Lightning started and took it for a 5 mile ride.  Like yours they shift on opposite sides.  Both use 1 down and the rest up.  I like them both.  Had both for 6 years.  Each has it's own personality.
