Gentlemen... There is a chrome trim strip (actually plastic) around the bottom edge of my '74 CB550 seat that the plastic protective cover is peeling off. Unfortunately it is actually part of the seat cover. My seat is in PERFECT condition except for this plastic peeling. Is there any way to refurbish this awful-looking casualty of age without replacing the entire seat cover? I actually ordered a replacement trim piece and started installing it when I realized the trim is made onto the factory seat and the new trim will not fit over it...
