What I was saying , MOST on here think your bike has to have stock airbox , stock carbs , stock forks, stock gauges, you get the idea.
Yes I can agree SOME CB750s in ORIGINAL condition are worth serious money but the percentage of them have had so many parts replaced on them since 1969, that the ONLY thing original is the frame and even that, if it has had upgrades added,ie,frame rail kits and roller bearings in the neck, then it is no longer original only improved.
I know you can tune carbs for the type of air filters and exhaust, but it is sometimes trial and error.  Most newbies don't understand , if you change exhaust( more air OUT) then you need to change carb jets for more air/fuel in!!

Oh by the way Inkscars: glad you got your bike in tune!!

It's not impossible to do. Most people do not have the patience for it.
4 carburetors on a bike is like a puzzle, and I'm hard headed as #$%*.
So, trial, error and piece by piece, my bike runs pretty great and while I will agree to a degree that it might have been easier with a stock set up, my air box was garbage to begin with so I worked with what I had.
I love the way it looks and that I had to put work into it.
Two words, worth it.

The fella that helped me with Elsa this round is a Harley guy. I've spent most of the last year learning about the iron head. He rode his shovel to sturgis, the 1 thing he decided to reuse(regulator) went out 90 miles from sturgis, so.....it'll be expensive, but the #$%* will be new.

You are not going to escape removing those carbs and finding out what size idle jets you have.
And while you have the carbs off make sure that all 4 mixture screws have O rings in good condition and each one has a washer on top of that O ring.

Then make sure all 4 of the accelerator pump spray nozzles are functioning properly.

If you want to keep the pods then get the #42 idle jets.

i had a older mechanic tell me the secret to pod filters is to make sure that the tiny openings in front throat of carbs ( may have brass orifice in them) are un restricted by the pod itself.  some trimming  may be required so they are clear.  and of course a refernce mark somewhere on lip of pod to line them up upon reinstall.  that little hiccup in video could be little bit of carbon making a valve stick slightly if its an old motor.  try seafoam in oil and gas.  hope this helped.

It was the resistor/spark plug boot on #4, but your info for the pod install is helpful for someone who could overlook such a thing!

As a female rider with the kind of bare bones bike I ride, I had to get creative on how to get #$%* I need on the bike with me and not wear a back pack.
It's a military grade utility belt (for grenades and ammo and canteen and stuff) that I modified a purse to fit onto so I wear it as a belt.
I can fit all the stuff a girl could need in it and not have to worry about a shoulder bag, back pack or purse.
