Topic: What is this part from my K8, and do I need it? (Air system)

This came on my '78 which has a '74 motor. My '72 750 does not have one.

I installed an oil tank I made on the K8 and don't know if this is a pump, or diaphragm or what?

I tried looking on google for a bit, and can't find a K8 parts list.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Breather I think is the name.  I don't have it on the K0, it is just a part of emissions additional crap.

Well, that's why I couldn't find it... it's part of the air system. I feel like a big dummy. It's just a breather then? Since I'm going pods I can rid of it I imagine.

Just like late 70s cars with all the emissions crap eh?

The 550 has something similar. I didnt re-install it however I do have the breather cover routed to the airbox.
