I think the tach has to be opened up & the redline painted red to match the bike, other that that it is great!

 Got a chainguard pic?

Just a thought progessive fork springs in the stock forks does wonders and saves alot of headaches.

Hey FJ just started collecting info on the r6 fork conversion and was wondering if you ever milled down the steer tube?  was talking to my pops who buddy has a machine shop and he said it shouldn't be to hard to do but wanted to see how it turned out for you and if you had any problems. Was  hoping to do this mod this winter.
Keep it shinny side up.

Youtube is blocked here at work, and I'd never heard of this style.  5 minutes of Googling/Wiki-ing and reading later, and I feel pretty stabby.  Ugh.  Those seem pretty frickin obnoxious.

I have an RD400 and many folks on that forum simply heat and bend the kickstarter for peg clearance, a little paint and maybe this could work for you? I have also seen billet kickstarters but they were $$$.

I think it looks very nice together. Does the GPS help with judging speed at all?

Yeah it looks real nice. Fusion for sure. If its not a full actual restoration, no reason not use updated instruments.

Zap: We've got a nuvi in our car, does the speed very well.

Yeah, its triangulating (I think that's what you call it) constantly off the satellite with distance and time, very accurate. (I think)

Scott

Here's a pic with the dash screen.
There is a current speed display (not visible as it's not moving) as well as max speed, moving time, average speed etc. I checked it with a speed board and plenty accurate.

In my opinion that looks awesome. Goes well with the modern front end. Very nice way to think out of the box Jimmy!!! I assume you can take it with you should you find your self parking it at some function?

Hey Jimmy,

You need one of these. My bother has one on his R6 and boy does it work wonders. Also he closes it comply and so the 2 attempts to steal his bike was thwarted because while they were able to get around the built in steering lock they could not figure out why the steering would not move.. Its because he had it turned all the way up. Any way, at any speed this thing is great and you can adjust it on the fly easy. However its about $400+ so you really have to want one!

Scott's Steering damper.
