Good work on the R2CC.  Have you ever done it before?  I'll bet that if you post your "sponsor me" link, there are some Cafe Interceptor afficionados who would be happy to chip in for a worthy cause...

How many miles was the ride?  How long was the ride for you?

It wasn't being treated as a race...but you certainly were moving along at a good clip. Lots of camera angles throughout the ride, made for a different experience.

Congratulations on a fun ride and completing the ride. How much money were you able to raise?

+1 Jimmy!
Great cause and great job. I have had several aunts and uncles die from cancer of various types. Thanks for helping with the fight.

The 2 day ride was 234KM (140 miles) from Vancouver to Seattle.
Approx. 2600 riders participated with a total of just over 10 million raised.
I was very generously supported with $4210.00 raised.
Good work.

Next year put your sponsorship link in this thread and watch what happens. :)

I swapped out the Dyns S ignition for a Pamco unit last night and the bike flashed right up and settled into a smooth idle. Too wet to do anymore test & tuning, so I’ll get back to you as soon as the pavement dries.

Cheers

Hey Jimmy, I have the Dyna S ignition as well.  Did you just swap out the ignition or did you get a complete Pamco kit with coils etc?

And the fun begins.  After my ride last night I think I am getting close on my jetting.  It will be interesting to see how your jetting changes.

Hertz has brought back their "Rent a Racer" program on various dream cars in certain markets.
I would imagine Jimmy might be willing to do the same at equitable rates to cover any wear. Then there is the replacement coverage you would need if untoward behaviour were to result in damages...

http://www.autoweek.com/article/20130701/CARNEWS/130709991?utm_source=DailyDrive20130701&utm_medium=enewsletter&utm_term=article2more&utm_content=20130701-Hertz-brings-back-rent-a-racer-program-with-Dream-Cars&utm_campaign=awdailydrive

So, you bring your gold or diamonds and maybe FJ can hook you up, eh Jimmy?

Yes!
I'll match your bet and toss in the spare bed too.  :)
Then I guess the beers'll be on me.  I've always wanted to do a cross-country trip, and I f'n love Vancouver - and your bike.  It won't be this year - the suspension on the CBX right now is so awful just doing a Montreal round trip was absolutely brutal.  Hoping to fit new boingy bits over the winter...

Since we jetted it with the cam off by a tooth, and now with these changes... I'd imagine that would be the case.  Let me know how I can help.

Hi David,

I hoped you might chime in.
All those stupid, previous problems are resolved now and it shows on the seat of the pants dyno. I love to swing down and give this some of your magic. Can we make that happen?

Busy summer, but if you give me a bit of notice I'd be happy to work you in.
Take care,
David

And here I've been sitting on the couch watching TV while I drink beer - am I doing it wrong? :)

I'm on the verge of switching to getting on the phone and ordering a bunch of expensive CBX parts while drinking beer, I don't know if that's a step closer to what you do, or farther away. :D

These Cone Engineering stainless steel megaphone mufflers are amazing.
I can't believe how nice they are to deal with and the quality of the product.
What great value.

Just my $0.02 but that looks better.

Jimmy i would. Have probably built it exactly like that.. We think alike..
Is there seriously people that run a 4-1 unsupported. On the back..?

I always thought that it was just a joke when people said that.. Is there really people that have done it ?

Thanks Frank. It's an honour to be in such great company.
Yes! There are many who run Yosh style pipes without support hangers.
Can't see them holding up over the long haul though.
yep, I admit it.  MAC header with short, lightweight, glass pack baffled pipe.  I have been running it unsupported for about 4 years.  At least 60,000 miles...no problems.
