Cbr900rr, any opinions on the model?
« on: April 09, 2013, 12:32:58 AM »
I've got a friend with a 98 cbr900rr Fireblade for sale, anyone own or ride one? Looking for opinions or pros and cons on the model. I've been on a few friends sport bikes here and there so I'm familiar to a point but haven't been out for a ride on his yet. It's in good mechanical shape, all up to date on servicing etc etc.

Any feedback would be helpful

The '98-'99s were the last years without EFI and USD. Much better handling than the original blades; fully adjustable suspension; the most comfortable of all the blades, 919cc engine; was starting to have trouble keeping up to the R1; plastic still available on Ebay; will lift the front effortlessly; rough on rear tires etc.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.
