Length of 750 kickstand?
« on: April 15, 2013, 12:16:57 PM »
Hi i tried to search the forums first but couldnt quite find what i was looking for. I recently increased the shock length on my 400f, therefore making the bike lean far too much on the sidestand. I believe the new center of gravity could bend my kickstand or worse. Can anyone let me know what the length of a 750, 500, 550 would be? Looking to put on a kickstand with a longer throw.

Thanks!!!

Since I'm not sure what point you measure from and to,  here's a picture.  My stand is from my 78 cb 750k

Working on: 78 Cb750k
Waiting for arrival: 73 Cb750

Simply attach a block of metal, hard plastic, or wood to the existing side stand.
Weld, glue, screw, whatever. Or just carry a piece if wood loose with you to place under the side stand when parked.
