Where does this washer go?
« on: April 10, 2013, 03:55:37 PM »
Hi all, please assist. I am in the process of a complete rebuild on my stock CB750 K5.

I cracked the cases but did not disassemble any of the shafts. I resealed the cases, reassembled the whole engine (using the Honda manual and Hondaman's book), re-attached the shift linkage, clutch and alternator. All seems good but after all that I am left with this washer and I can't figure out where it goes....which is obviously very worrying.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like an oil plug/drain plug sealing washer. From the oil pan or tank?

Yes, I think you're correct. Thanks MCRider, I was bricking it a bit.

I think your thinking of the washer and spring in the oil filter cover. That washer is larger ID and very thin.

If I'm right, the washer in question goes on a drain plug. No spring.
