Newbie needs help to identify year
« on: April 12, 2013, 06:07:23 AM »
Hi

Just purchased a doggy French CB400/4. No paperwork come with it. Been in a barn for 20  years. In order to reregister it here I need to know the year of manufacture. The frame number is CB400F 1052745 Engine number CB400FE104987  no idea if the engine is original. Any help greatly appreciated.

Martin, welcome to the forums.

The CB400F model year of manufacture is:

CB400F   = 1975
CB400F1 = 1976
CB400F2 = 1977

Based on your engine and frame numbers, you have a 1975 CB400F

Hi

Thanks for that. Now I can get a Carte grise collection and put it back on the road. Could take a while!

Hi Martin.

Pop in to www.sohc.co.uk and chat to the Euro/UK owners.

We've loads of 400/4 owners at the moment.

Register with the same username so that we recognise you.
