CB400F Shifter Assembly
« on: April 13, 2013, 08:13:36 AM »
I am reassembling the engine on my CB400F and everything has been going smoothly until I hit the shifter assembly behind the clutch basket. My Climer book is not much help here. Does any one have any better photos or a better description of how to get these springs tensioned and put the assembly together?

Download the Honda factory service manual.  I think I got mine on honda4fun.com.  I can email a pdf if you want it.   Also the parts lists a bike bandit or other parts dealers can be a good reference point too.  I take a few picture when tearing down they can save you lots of bs, especial if there is months between disassembly and reassembly.

Sorry to see you're still having trouble with this a month later than your last post about it. Makes  you want to forget all about all this trouble you're having with the transmission and shifter, doesn't it?
