I know I should be in bed .................but I am up watching another painful episode of Boyd Cobbleton and the crew as they butcher another car. It is pathetic the crew they have. If I made the mistakes (during the years of my Automotive career) I would have been fired on the spot with no sorrows. It appears that they suck and most of their crew knows nothing about anything high tech. Just throw them one magneto ignition and they will have a car that can not or will not start. And instead of fixing it right they will run out and get their same crappy ignition they use always.

The sickening thing is I know guys who are far less buffoons than their crew and they get paid 1/3 the average wage at Boyd Cobbletons crew.

They are scripted to make those mistakes and add drama to the lame a$$ed shows. Boyd used to make nice rides. Maybe he still does when the cameras aren't rolling. But the show has made him and his crew look like a bunch of amateurish dolts.

Scripted stupidity. Isn't that bad business? They have that one new dummy that is supposed to be an intern. I think his name is Tony. This guy is so dumb he should be cleaning toilets. Just hopless. I knew more than this guy right out of highschool. And Duane is a D*ck. I could not work for a guy like that at all.

Here's what I thought after seeing that show a couple of times:
"If those retards can bolt together a hotrod, sure enough I can buy myself a 30 year old motorcycle and fix it up"

If somebody would have told me their stupidity was scripted beforehand, i wouldn't be spending all my spare time crying in the garage right now.......

All the guys with a decent amount of talent/knowledge jumped ship and went to work for Chip FOOSE. Foose started out working for Boyd back in the day..

What better way to "stick it" to Boyd then to take his best guys....

If I had an #$%* "boss" like that Duane dick he'd have had a hacthet in his crotch a long time ago. The guy can't do anything without temper tantrums. He must be frustrated from having a little weenie I guess.

Isn't it great that on the canvas of mechanical excellence that we get to work on (aka a sohc Honda 4) everything is diminished and accessible compared to what the car guys have to deal with.

When I watch these car 'fix-it', 'tart it up', 'steal it and make it nice for the owner' car shows I cannot help but think that we have it lucky because there is so much less...well, stuff, to have to worry about. And, because we do it ourselves, there is no egocentric twit leaning over our shoulder telling us what a c@#p job we're doing.........just the sig.other calling from the house that dinner is ready, and getting cold on the table.
