CB450 stock air filters
« on: March 29, 2013, 02:22:20 PM »
Anyone ever find a good solution for replacing the stock filters since they're discontinued? pods inside of the stock airbox? I know a lot of guys use the 4001 Uni filters but Hondaman said they work crap with the 450's carbs. Other options? pods inside stock airbox?

Yeah, there is a fix, Most guys on the Honda twins.net forum remove the corrugated paper element and replace  by gluing in foam in the element's place.  That's all I've been able to find, I went with the Uni's,guess  I can look forward to mine running like sh!t for a while.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.

I read a better article on rebuilding them, but this is all I could find right now.
