Small update due to work on the K4 "Big Bang" bike but I do now have all the parts for the headlight  bucket and it is mounted! I know that sounds so minimal but was not simple to get it right.  I've opted to go with the short turn signal stems, and Z1.net offers up a high quality part...

The stock Mikuni carbs are now immaculate!  I disassembled them, sent them to Nils for vapor blasting and ultrasonic cleaning and are now awaiting reassembly.  New cables are on the list to be purchased.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, but I cannot find anywhere else where this may fit better. Went to AMA VMD last weekend and met the Kawasaki Triple "pope" - Rick Brett. He was riding an unusual H1-based bike. One that a friend of his built, inspired by Allan Millyard:

Double Triple!   I've read all about Allan Millyard, what he does with these bikes is incredible.

RB is a legend when it comes to Kawasaki Triples, would like to make it up to one of his Birthday bashes in MI some time.

Thanks for posting Mike.

If you look closely, it is not a "double Triple", it is a "Seven". Funny looking from the back, with 3 exhaust tips on the right and four on the left, keeping the unbalanced look of the original.

Funny thing was, it didn't sound that outrageous. I was wondering what kind of firing order it had. Maybe a couple of cylinders fired in pairs

Put the front wheel up against a brick wall and see what kind of 'smoke show' it would give you.  :D

Wonder what size those cylinders are or engine its based off. It says 606 so maybe 250 pots ?? Cool stuff.  If 7 is good than 48 must be even better !!  ;D

I missed to ask Rick. 250 is probably right on, although the 249cc Triple would not make quite 606cc. Maybe the pots were slightly bored.

Been busy with The K4 "Big Bang" engine rebuild, but that motor is back in the frame so I am back to the H2!

[I hate doing multiple projects at the same time but somehow it always happens...maybe I have A.D.D.?!!]

Got the coils cleaned up and installed. Yes, Mitsubishi is the OEM coil, 1 for each cylinder.

Battery box with the [stock] CDI and voltage regulator cleaned up nice. Got it and wiring harness installed....

Broke the bolt on the rear brake cam lever, it was not even in all the way!  Danny in CA sent me one [$30!] and I got the rear brake set up and working...

Got the rear tail installed as well as the rear cover and tailight. Eric - now you can see the color of the body work!  Candy Gold...

Sent Triples forum member Don in FL my gauges, he does a phenomenal job!

Doesnt seem like much progress, seems like so much time is wasted searching, ordering and waiting for parts that are needed.

Basketcase bikes are a b!tch!

Luckily you got other nice stuff to ride so you can take as much time as you need but am sure the hunting for stuff does get to be a drag a little. Be well worth it when you finally get her done though.

Learned that a long time ago - must have a rider while working on a project bike!

I dont mind the hunting for parts, its part of the challenge, I hate the waiting for the orders.  And boy, H2 parts are rare and pricey!

I need a special bolt for the R footpeg, it's $18!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-H1-500-Change-Pedal-Bolt-H2-750-/172473086169?hash=item28283270d9:g:BScAAOSwEzxYbVhx&vxp=mtr

Luckily I had the L one, that one is $40!! Just for 1 bolt.
