Was offered in a Kawa forum. Storred since 1993. I think this is what you call a garage queen.

I will bring here back to street and think about selling my 73´ Z1.

Geez Sarge, do you really want to sell your Z1? Can't you just sell a kidney, or one of your children, or something else that you don't need so much? Cheers, Terry. ;D

I think the Sarge has deep pockets, he buys em right.  And we know they are not cheap over there.

Congrats Sarge.

I think the Sarge has deep pockets, ....

Congrats Sarge.

Look at my shoes!

Haven't tried yet if she runs. First have to charge battery and give her new oil.
Seller told me that carbs have to be cleaned. Didn't idle when she run years ago.
Brake lines and tyres and....

Engine turnes with kick starter.

That is a beautiful bike Sarge, and you've just reminded me that I know where one has been sitting in a garage for the last 20 years or so. I can't remember if it's a MK1 or MK2, but I must go and visit the owner and (hopefully) take a look.

It won't be as nice as yours though, from memory it was taken off the road when the owner crashed it............ Cheers, Terry. ;D

Still for sale, think the seller is a high, ya know?

I've been watching this Z1B on ebay, nicely restored example, just sold for $13K.

Well, I went for that ride yesterday, it was a beautiful day.  Rolled out the Z1, fired right up, just like always.
Got only about two blocks away, turned right on Dodge Rd and accelerated and immediately saw a cop coming in the opposite direction....oh #$%*e, slowed down and checked the mirrors, yes, he turned around and pulls me over.

Cop: "You were going a little fast, 45 in a 30"  Me: "oh, didnt realized that?"   He asks if I have a drivers license and insurance..."of course, officer" and I hand it to him.

"I was just testing the bike, I just restored it"  Looks nice, what year?  "1975".  I'll give you a warning today, but watch your speed.

"Yes, sir, thank you officer"

Luckily he did see me later when I really opened it up!

That's a beautiful Z1A, and the most collectable of all the Zed's. Over here that bike would be another 5-10K, but I don't know if people are actually buying them to ride, or saving them for their retirement. Silly money for what they are, but they're not making any more of them I guess? Cheers, Terry. ;D

Oh yeah, I just wanted to divert the conversation from speeding to the bike, seemed to work.

Doubtful.  I average 1 speeding ticket a year and I'm over due. Luckily, here in TX, we can take a defensive driving course online and the ticket gets dismissed. I love Texas!

The North Carolina cops aren't that nice >:( He would of wrote me a ticket on the spot Im sure. Don't think it would matter to him if I was riding a classic 750KO or not. I like the taking a test on line deal you have in Texas. Don't think they have anything like that in NC though.
