Scott has family in town now. He drilled a pair of rotors for me for my cb550...they should be here probably sometime next week. Don't know if they shipped yet or not, they were done.  Photos made them look pretty darn good.  Inexpensive as well.

Just a heads up; I do KZ Rotors as well:

Blue - congrats!  I had one just like it...except it was mint.  Ran perfect, always, had a Kerker on it. Bought it from my brother, when he bought an XS1100. It "used" oil, didn't leak and no smoke but would need a quart every 1000 miles or So, but no prob. Very comfortable bike, took many trips on it. Fond memories, one of the main reasons I bought the Z1.

Goddfrey - still have the 900 motor?  I contacted Forward Air, about $200 to ship terminal to terminal.
Any way you could get it to Milwaukee?

BTW - the Z1 has just been sitting, "played" with the RD last weekend. Will be playing with the Z this weekend.

'77 was the first year of the 1000.  '76 was still a 900 but known as a KZ, not Z1 for some reason?

It is a little confusing and most guys don't know.  The Z1 900 was Kawasaki's answer to the CB750, bigger and faster, not necessarily better, depending on who you ask. Only made approx 80,000 bikes, '73-75.
1976 was a KZ900, same motor, minor changes to bike. In '77, same basic motor but bumped up to 1000cc, two versions: KZ and LTD (see blues above).
There was also a Z1R, first production made turbo. Don't know about eliminator? Wasn't that ZZ Tops car?!

Sure, I could do that for about $15 in gas.

The Eliminator was similar to the Ltd.   I think it had huge rear tire, not made for cornering..but may have. Been later down the line.. Even in the last 15 years they brought out. Similar naked model of maybe the GPZ or ZX

I'm only buying mint or reconditioned parts, but does it have the steering dampener?

I think its not the right one , only the first year red ones had the aftermarket wheels, then Kawi made their own.. Think I have one of them already..

Bugger, I wanted to buy the whole bike Jon.............  :'(
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yer funny Terry !   ;D ;D ;D   I wouldn't sell it, even to you Terry.   ;)   It took me quite awhile to find one for this cheep.  It's the same ole story anymore, someone see's a older bike for sale for a large sum of $$$  and the simple minded people out there think that their piece of sh!t is worth big bucks !   :o
