Thanks for all the comments guys, rode it again yesterday - what a joy!

Here are a few pics that show details:

The paint was done by a Kaw expert on the E. Coast, the Candy Gold paint really sparkles in the sunlight...

The entire engine and carbs were vaporized by RestoCycle, [thanks Nils!] it remains "naked" as it was from the factory.  The engine covers were polished...

Original fender, rim and caliper, these cleaned up so well that they were not refinished. Fork lowers were polished....

WTF?!!

Thanks Eric.  I have received many positive comments on the bike on the Triples forum.  Doubt RB has seen it, I'm sure he would pick it apart like he does when there is one listed on ebay, he can notice every little deviation from stock that you or I would most likely overlook!

I have several projects lined up, an S2, H1, K1 & CB550, but I'm gonna let me bike fund recover from this one for a bit.  I bought the X6 Hustler [Little Suzi] a couple months ago as a runner, it needs a few things and is currently on the lift. It will stay in "survivor" condition rather than restoration...

Thanks guys, appreciate it.  Now have 160 miles since the rebuild, running great and love riding it.

The paint was done by LRC, they get great reviews on the Triples forum.

Have you been spinning it Stev-o ?  A box of plugs in your pocket(during break-in) will keep you from getting stranded   ;)

Your post made me curious to how my plugs look, just pulled one and looks good.

And Mike knows all H1's and H2's came with spare plug holders...

Note to self: change out that large flat washer...

I'll bet that plastic plug cover is an expensive item..  Unless they're repopping it.

It is.   An hour and a half from me - where everybody is somebody!

It is the site of our annual vintage bike festival, I just got back yesterday.

"Let's go to Luckenbach, Texas
With Waylon and Willie and the boys
This successful life we're livin'
Got us feuding like the Hatfields and McCoys…"

^^^^great song ;D ;D ;D.   History of the song is interesting, how it is supposedly where Willie and Waylon and the boys formed the outlaw country music genre after being fed up with the slick Nashville productions...Larry

Ha. I don't know that I'm proud to show her to others but here goes.  I scooped her up from a salvage yard in Arizona.  Was sitting there at least 20 years.  It was pretty completed outside of tank and seat but I sold off some of the parts I won't be using.  Framecrafters is gonna change the neck angle and brace the frame, and do an alloy swingarm.  And looking like Paul Gast is gonna do the motor and said she should make about 120hp once she's done.

No kidding there!  H2’s seem to be like hens teeth these days!  I’ll reach out when I strip her down.  I won’t be using quite a bit of the parts or so I think.

Really cool! I'm in negotiations now for a '75 Z1 900. All original. Not the correct seat cover, and looks to have a ding or two in the original muflers. Could use new tires. All else is there, including tool kit, manual, etc. How much is this worth?

As you prolly know. the Z1's have become highly collectable all over the world. I love mine and would never think of selling. As far as yours, being all original is a very good thing and desirable.  You dont mention running cond or mileage? I'll assume it is running with 20K miles, I would value it at around $7500. Maybe more if condition is above average.  Got pics?

Here's mine....
