New here and got some questions 74 CB500 w/tracy body kit
« on: April 28, 2013, 12:07:41 PM »
I recently got a 1974 CB500, came with the carbs off a GS550, works, but needs the idle assembly and needs to be rewired. Came with this awesome Tracy body kit as well which i would like some info on (cant find anything about this body style or model). I have a set of cb350 carbs seized but complete. would anyone happen to have that idle assembly? or any ideas on what path i should pursue?

Welcome Texan.   Body kit looks great, you might want to consider lining it so modern fuel won't damage it (if not lined already).

Don't know anything about the GS carbs but I'd put CB500/550 carbs on. You're a week late, I just sold a set for $50.

Where in N TX are you?   I'm near Aus.

Northtexan89, welcome to the forums.

Here’s a two-part Tracy catalog from 1974 (PDF format) that might help with your body kit identification:
