I don't think I have ever introduced myself, But I've been a member since the beginning of the year and have posted a few times.  Today, I screwed up my profile, had to delete it and start over. 
So here we go....
My name is Paul Z.  I live in Toledo, Ohio and my bike is a 1978 CB750 F2.  I acquired it from a buddies dad.  The bike was sitting there collecting dust in the garage.  I always checked it out when I was over, and I always knew it had potential to be a killer cafe.  So I plunked down $350 bucks and bought myself an electrical basketcase.  Five months and a few hundred bucks later,  I'm close to having it road ready. 

Mods include:
K&N filters, rebuilt carbs, Dyna S ignition, New plugs, wires, SS bolt kit, stator and cover, Kerker 4-1 exhaust, EBC brake pads F/R, Russel SS brake lines F/R, Lowered gauges and Headlight, mini turn sigs, Chopped front fender, Tomaselli clubman bars, Napoleon Bar end mirror, Solo seat made from stock seat pan. and theres a few more things but cant remember. 

I still need to put one more coat of paint on the tank and clear, but I got anxious to see what it looked like in it's new color.

Like the floor too. Except the bow tie should be done in blue. And it should be more oval in shape

No, Rhonda's my bikes name.  The previous owner Bob, used to work at a GM powertrane plant and there was this Japanese guy who always bugged him about buying his bike.  He would say with a strong accent,"That's real nice Rhonda!" At first Bob didn't know who the hell he was talking about but the Japanese guy started pointing at the bike.  The name stuck after that.

The tank was not finished, thats why its dull.  I wet sanded it and shot it again and will clear it tonight.

Whats up with all the Domestic car lovers on this site, I would have figured you guys would be into Toyotas, Nissans, and Hondas.

Tell me about it.  All my friends were into Chevy and Fords, they would talk about drag racing and displacement all day.  I'd be the one to throw in, what about about turbo's, what about suspension tuning to take corners at faster speeds,  what about high compression 4's, what if this, what if that. They would all dismiss me, thinking that their ancient pushrod tech was far superior.
So I practiced what I preached. I got a import, put in some work and A fat turbo. And left them in the dust.  This was way before supping up imports became a fad. (damn shame!)
I got into SCCA autocross and I got hooked.   I saw all these small displacement cars busting vettes, vipers, camaros that have all been built to the hilt.
That has to be one of the best feelings, when you build a car that can out perform cars that cost several times more.

When I said we like to be different, I was only half kidding. I was raised on old domestic cars - primarily muscle cars. I'm particularly fond of Ford and Pontiac, but I like them all. Yeah, it's impressive what an import can do when built well, but it just isn't the same. There's no "character" (for lack of a better word) in a  car that is basically a gas-powered computer. I think those cars are great on the track (I was in SCCA too for a while) but just don't do anything for me on the street. I could go on and on about this subject... Point is, I just prefer the seat-of-the-pants, almost out-of-control feel of a large displacement V-8 roaring down the road. Funny thing is, I don't care much for Harleys.
