Topic: de-chopped the chopper

Here's what the progress on my CB500 is looking like so far. 
This is what it started as.

and here's what she looks like currently.  I'm attempting to fiberglass up a nice looking cafe style seat and I still have some wiring to work out.

This is only the beginning... it's quite rough around the edges.

i really like the dual disc front and the big rear tire on that bike. not so sure about a square headlight though. looks a lot better then mine though, and it just makes me want to get mine going more and more. good job!

HUGE improvement! I also like the skinnny front / fat rear tire combo...the bike just looks MEAN like that. 

I'm also in agreement about that square headlight though: bleah.

Here's the latest additions to the project. 
I snagged some clipons off ebay.  They are off of some 60's era triumph... when I recieved them feelings of regret overwhelmed me after dropping a cool $50 on them.  They are a little beatin up and grinded on but they'll work. 
Check out the new seat!!! Not bad for my first.  I chopped up an old gt185 gas tank I had layin around and rivited it on the old seat frame.  With a little bending here and there and some help from a friends seamstress mother this came out of it.  It's not perfect but I like it!
On the to do list:
Some kind of headlight or front fascia
A quality brake light
Tires
etc...

Looking pretty cool, man. You'll probably want to raise those clip ons a little bit, though.
