Well finally got around to putting this thing back together.  The cylinder head and deck were well within spec with regards to the amount of warpage so I replaced the valve seals, lapped the valves, and replaced all the gaskets.  I tried for over a month to find a OEM head gasket but everyone kept canceling the order despite showing them in stock.  I ended up ordering a gasket kit from David Silvers.

Once I was able to find a friend with the time to help me muscle the engine back into the frame everything went pretty smooth.

Here she is in all her new found glory.

Thanks.  A lot of work but it's coming along.  Now I need to play with the suspension.   ;D

Yeah, sadly. I had to. Money was too tight, it was still winter, and my car wasn't staying together. I held on as long as I could though. It was definitely a LAST resort.

I guarantee though, I WILL GET ANOTHER!! Best bike I've had yet!

They are a lot of fun to work on and ride.  I'm just hoping my wife never finds the folder with all the receipts.   :o
