Hm300 pipe vs HM341
« on: June 07, 2013, 04:50:35 AM »
Hi
I want to know the difference in stamping from the hm300 to hm341.

HM341 pipe are stamped HMCB750 -- HM341

did the hm300 are normally stamped HMCB750 -- HM300 or just HM300 ?
Did the hm300 are the advertisement stamped on it like oem 341 pipe?

Thanks!

The ones I have seen are all just stamped HM300.  You can look at the following eBay link for a set of the HM300 pipes.  They have a picture of the stamp on them.

May not be germane to the question, but some early diecast bikes (750) had nothing stamped on the pipes

It's a die cast with a build date of Nov. '69. If what you say is correct, perhaps the original owner thrashed his pipes and replaced them with a set from an older bike??  :-\

I know the 11/69 has the originals, I bought it from the original owner who took them off in 1972 and installed a header. They are in nice shape. The 12/69 I'm not sure. I know someone with a 3/70 who has unstamped pipes but he doesn't know the history of the bike either.

That eBay seller has some great parts. I've bought a couple items from him for my Z1.
