Here in W. Pa, if we are dealing in dimensional 2x4's, we go to the Amish to get their rough cut. Their lumber is all cut to about the same dimensions as all of the 60(+) year old stuff. Good quality wood with good customer service too.

OK master renovator/builders any one have experience with double wall polycarbonate panels, we are thinking of turning an overhung patio into a green house/sun room so  that we're not so tied to the hoop house that we've got now.

We recently finished a commercial bldg renovation and used PC panels in the atrium portion of the bldg.  It has a very cool appearance.  The panels can be reasonably priced...

Buddy and I built his cabin, in the southern tier of New York, using Amish mill wood. They still give a 2x4 (true) stub. If you have any Amish in your area , contact them.

We used the stuff in a gym for skylights. Stuff is easy to work with and is VERY durable. Gives a nice diffused lighting. Make sure you blow any dust out of them before hanging them though.

Uhh maybe I had a friend build a greenhouse kit with those in AK.  Haven't seen it in 10 years but it seemed solid and warm and  gave them an early/ extra 2 months of growing season if they heated a bit.
