This year I broke down and changed my steering head bearings. I had avoided it like the plague. Getting the bearings in and out was scary easy on this particular bike. I read all the horror stories and in my case it was too easy.

OK, last year I bought all new cables from Honda  a very simple job when you remove one cable and replace one at a time and all in one sitting. Take the whole front end off including the wiring and try to put it all together a month later on and off is a different story.

OK, I have the original shop manual which in some cases is useless. I run the cable up through that space behind the Clocks. Tie it to the down tube. I say to myself I don;t remember it being visible over the model plate on the headstock. OK, move it away from there, now it is to short.

OK I put it over the model plate and I can't turn the bars all the way left.

Can someone take pictures of theirs? No such thing as too many detailed pictures. When I see it I will be even more embarrassed, but the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

I have not even attempted the birds nest in the headlight bucket.

Whatever you do, dont double zapstap it without having the cable seated in lower adjuster..

Bobby, mine runs between my clocks and my headlight can.  i dont have it woven through anything or anywhere else.
Only one (loose) SS zip tie on the R down tube to keep it off my headers.

I think i am getting the idea. I was trying to follow the lower frame to closely. Thank for the Pics Flybox and the advice. Anyone have some more Pics. I have a lot of pics, but they won't solve this problem.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

A good way, is to tape or tie it. Near the. Pipe..something you can undo. Often you route it by the bars, then find it fouls somewhere when you turn the bars.
Test it , then fasten it down . In this case, could have just pulled it up higher.
