'72 CB500 clutch adjuster locking bolt, left crankcase cover
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:27:50 PM »
I'm reassembling the the clutch on my CB 500. On the left crankcase there's the clutch adjuster locking bolt but nothing to hold it. I was looking through the online diagrams and don't have a clue what keeps the bolt in place. I either lost a bolt during disassembly or it was never there when I took it apart. Can anyone tell me what holds the hex bolt in place? Thanks

I think the bolt screws into the clutch adjuster's locking/fixing piece (located against the body of the adjuster (inside)....see Part#6

Did you ever get this fixed?  You also need bolt #11 to retain #6.
