Found this Frank

Quote
Former Kawasaki triple racer Eric Offenstadt built mainly magnesium race wheels under his company name SMAC and a number of TZ frames as well. The frame of the bike pictured is actually his first attempt at a radical new design, cast magnesium, made with the assistance of Vic Soussan the famous Franco-Australian GP competitor. Spaniard Victor Palamo achieved some credible World Championship results aboard the bike throughout 1975.

They would have been 6 spoke in a 3x2 spoke design.... ;)

Hey Frank,

I use them on my racebike. Love the design of the wheels. Just sold my last magnesium (rear) one. Still have two 18" front (in use) and a 19" front. Do not use the magnesium ones, due to age. I only use the "touring" ones they are aluinium and only slightly heavier, but still way lighter than even a spoked wheel with aluminium rim.

Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

Hi Frank,
I have 2 sets of these, both competition versions and they are great. Have one set fitted to my SOHC 820cc Spondon Endurance bike.

If you can get them go for it.

Best Regards,

Alex

I am not after them, i still have Astralites, they are wider.
Just posted in case  anyone wants something unique, for the same price that alloy rims and spoies would cost.
