Rest in peace goerge jones

We have lost a great singer songwriter. Myself I have drowned my sorrows in a old honky tonk bar listening to his music on the jukebox. The man knew how you was feeling when you listened to his songs. Tonight I will have a few drinks and listen to his music.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

I hadn't heard.  He'll definitely be missed.  I grew up listening to George and all the other classic country legends.  I'm gonna have to fire up the turntable and have a beer.

I gew up in NYC and Country music was something other people listened to. Out of 54 radio stations I think one low wattage station you could barely hear. I discovered Country music in my 20's down in Alabama. George was a hell raiser and a gifted singer songwriter. How he made it to 81 is a miracle.

We have lost a great singer songwriter. Myself I have drowned my sorrows in a old honky tonk bar listening to his music on the jukebox. The man knew how you was feeling when you listened to his songs. Tonight I will have a few drinks and listen to his music.

I heard interviews on NPR and  from 2010  and figured he had passed on. Sure enough at the end of the piece  they announced George Jones had died.   I just happened to be out in the sticks and  in front of the perfect place to have a drink, but no George Jones on the juke box.

George was the first on autograph on my J-45.  I must have waited an hour before and after a show trying to get it. After the show he said he had to get back to the bus but said he would sign stuff.  The delay thinned out the small crowd.  After about a half hour or more someone came out to get the items from the three remaining die-hards, ands I gave him the guitar. It came back with a huge legible autograph across most of the lower bout. WOOOHOOO!

Thanks, George.

One heck of a singer song writer.  He's gone to the big rehab in the sky.
I'm an individual,  just like everyone else.
