Topic: What are you giving away this year?

Well, in the spirit of giving because I got something free,
this year I plan to give away blackberries.
All you can pick, for free, but you have to bring your own container.
Let me tell you, my arms & legs are all torn up, bleeding from spending hours in
the blackberry patch, spreading manure, cleaning plants and setting them up
so it is like a bunch of tunnels when they are mature to pick.

Why? you ask.
Well i was given a free solar collector and it is saving me $.

just passing it on.

I gave away the back half of my race car to a couple young scrappers. Mostly chrome moly. I was done with it.
 In the last two years my race car team helped raise $3,000 for charities and 19 heaping shopping carts of food. I lost my sponsor this year. Really? After all that?  We'll see what we can do this year.

gave away a 550F frame with title to a young kid who want's to do a cafe project. he showed up with a six-pack of good beer and both of us were happy campers

I like to give away my time. I'm pretty much self-employed, but I only work 'per gratis' or for whatever donations I get. Not a bad deal either--keeps gas in the tank. Right now, I'm working for one guy who's giving me an '80 Suzuki Gs550E in trade for 100 hrs. of work. Another guy just paid me $200 for rebuilding his TH-350 auto tranny. And another just paid me $20 and two days of dinner for two upper ball joints in his '02 Dakota. (Anyone who's been to the mechanic knows these are LOW dollar rates!). The nice thing is, I get to help people out and if when I need some help or a favor, I know who I can go to! And these very same people have helped me out of many jams before!

Give money to needy customers and fellow employees at my place of work. Most recently,  I bought a high dollar circuit breaker for a customer that had no heat.  Also, undercharge for repairs I do...Larry

nothing.  i gave it all away last year  
funny how my life until last year was about collecting and owning things, only to realize most of it doesn't matter. 
i was a slave to a 2700sf house on a manicured 3/4 acre, gave it away for a song, and downsized to a 2000sf house on 1/10th acre.  i had a clean 12' x 15' den i rarely went in to , and a lofted 3 car garage full of storage for all that crap we'd been amassing.
with minimal room to store stuff, we gave everything we didnt need or use in the past year to one charity or another.
amazing how much more TIME i have to spend with my wife and 4 kids because i'm not working in the yard or on the house.
everyone is much happier.  simple is better.

Giving a lot of my old craftsman tools to my neighbor as I've accumulated a healthy replacement of Snap-on tools

Donated a built up 347 to a guy whos building a street car to raffle off for a local charity. But is that really a donation after I write it off of my taxes?

I might be giving away a titled, registered 1977 El Camino to a neighbor down the street. The body is pretty rusty but it runs and has some new parts. He initially expressed interest last week but his wife won't let him spend the $ I'm asking for it (not much really, $1000).

I gave away all the pecans from my yard, to the guy that gave my money back after trying to sell me an engine for my 1990 mighty max, that come to find out it was locked up tighter than a drum,

I gave away a lot of parts from my rebuild for free. I remember being on a budget. Just trying to pay it forward. Did a lot of free snow plowing for neighbors this winter. That's not work, more like playing. I use a Polaris 400 HO sportsman.
