Blew the main fuse on my cb750k '78 and since today is a sunday most auto stores were closed except for an auto zone so I went there and they did not have 15 amps fuses.. they had only 20 or 9 amps fuse so I elected to temporarily use 9 amps fuse for the main fuse to get home, over the 20.
I referred to the chart attached where the fusebox is listed as 7-15-5, but the fusebox on my bike is listed as 5-7-15, in that order.
My question is, was it smart to temporarily use a 9 amps fuse just to get the bike home, rather than a 20 amps where a 15 amps was needed? What should I do for next time if I don't have spare fuse handy, or have the wrong amps fuse?
