I can bring him all the way up to you. It's a nice ride and the weather this week is looking much better than most of our time in Michigan. Thursday would be best for me. I generally work from home on Thursdays, so I can easily leave around 5 and head up. At that time of day it would likely take me a couple hours to get to you.

You are in Waukesha?

Thursday works for me on Thursday... I wouldn't be able to take a spin though as the wife is at school from 8am-8pm... An uneventful hand off... PM coming

My travel window just got a bit narrower.  Being self employed I don't get paid when I take time off and I just booked an out of town job.  Leaving Sunday late afternoon for Detroit Lakes and will be gone all week and the next weekend too.  Saturday looks like rain likely.  Looks like Pimpzilla can get to LaCrosse but on what day?  I don't think I can go to LaCrosse and back and then get in a car and head north 4 hours all on Sunday.  Anyone in the LaCrosse area that can meet halfway might work but if it's just me in Minneapolis Pimpzilla is going to be stranded for a week+ when I leave town.  Any other Minnesota riders that may have an alternate option?

So if Pimpzilla gets to me on Thursday PM or early Friday................I am ready to ride towards LaCrosse & Twin Cities. DB22 is in LaCrosse and welcome to carry the Pimp. srust58 is looking for a handoff ...........how about Red Wing on Saturday?

If it does not work on Friday for DB22, I may go to visit Cycle X and then to Cameron WI for the night. I could meet Srust in or near Eau Claire later on Saturday.

Do you have someone to get the Pimp to in the cities and carry on the relay? If not I suggest a USPS box to someone on Team 7 in the PNW.

30% chance of showers on Saturday AM..............maybe later in the day would be better for the handoff.  I plan to head east after the green clouds on the radar screen have passed.

LOL, 5 in the evening. I am going to ride Sheridan Rd up as far as Racine I think before I head west to the highway, so figure I won't make it to your place until 8:30 or so.

Guys...

I'm in Iowa... this weekend is booked for me and its starting to get very close to my GUARD DRILL weekend (next weekend... plus I have started to have plans booked on top of my other free weekends til the end of October... so, since it appears I'm the only one in IOWA so far... and since I dont think plans are firm for the route, probably better just count me out.  Maybe some other time...  that may make the rest of this year's tour easier to figure out for the rest of you all....

Johnie............Great............I have your phone number.  I was thinking of riding to Fond du Lac by 8 or 9 AM on the backroads from my place and getting up to 21 to head west on the slow roads.................BUT........if Srust58 has no one to hand off to...............maybe I'll just take a nice ride around the lake and mail the lizard to the PNW.

I know this is a busy time of year and the riding hours and getting shorter.  I have it all arranged to stay over at a friend's place north of Eau Claire on Sunday night and then stop at Cycle X on Monday on my way home.  But I need to hear from Srust58 before I put that many miles on by myself. I have another trip planned to visit Cycle X in a few weeks along with a friend. We have motors to haul north and parts to bring back.

Lets watch for responses and firm up our plan on Saturday..............I will be away from my computer for all of Friday.

I have to head to Detroit Lakes (5 hours to the NW) late Sunday afternoon so a Sunday hand off won't work for me.  Saturday would but like you said the weather looks a bit iffy.  I don't have anyone to pass it on to so it might be best for you guys to just plan a ride that fits your schedule and don't worry about getting Pimpzilla to me.  That's okay..my time frame just got too tight and I wasn't going to turn down the out of town job...they are paying my "on the road rate" and per diem too. :)

Nick (Tews19) passed the Pimp Lizard to me when we met for breakfast in West Bend. On the way to my place in Cascade we rode past the Lizard Mound Park.......named for the elongated-shape of the burial mounds used by early American Indians.

Today PZ is resting while hugging a '69 CB750 survivor......Motor#1010003........parking in my garage and getting ready to be offered for sale. He especially likes the no-number original pipes that look like new.  Sorry, no pics..........my wife has the phone and camera while visiting one of our daughters.

Tomorrow the plan is to introduce PZ to several more original CB750s..............the bikes are parked in Oshkosh at Johnies house..........and then ride around Lake Winnebago and enjoy the Fall Colorama. Johnie and Jerry H. will take pics and sign the log-book.

Then it looks like PZ is going for a long ride by truck or plane to get to someone in the PNW.  I will give him a sedative to keep him in the box ::) ::)

Today Jerry H and I met up with Dennis aka Old Scrambler at my place in Oshkosh. Took a couple pics, toured the shop and had a formal introduction to PZ. Having no one in MN able to do a handoff we drove around Lake Winnebago on what was a perfect blue sky day. Had lunch in Stockbridge and then headed south on some fantastic country roads to old scramblers shop. We had great conversation and a few times PZ was giving us the sad face :( feeling left out of the cycle discussion. PZ did mention he knew Mr. Honda well and accidentally stepped on his house in the movie Godzilla vs the Thing. I failed to bring my camera on the ride, but Jerry H. saved the day and he will be posting his pics soon. Below are the 2 pics I got before we left on the ride...

Sorry to see PZ get boxed up after our ride,  but made the best of it. Posted a few more pics in the Riders log section.

Thanks Johnie and Old Scrambler for a fun day!
