Assuming I'm still in Michigan this summer, I can coordinate/participate in the "Great Lakes, Great Rides" region!!
Just ran across this old post, and had to bump it. ;)

Looking like I'll be hanging around Michigan for a few more months anyways. There had been a lot of work already done to coordinate Zilla Team 6.  I don't wana step on any toes, but if y'all would like me to pull the plan together and get pickup/handoff arrangements made, I can do it.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

OK, I've reached out to Team 5 to see where GZ3 is headed after Boston.  I thought I read Albany or maybe further up state.  Stay tuned for position and timing on that!

What I'd like to do is take on our area in three parts - Eastern Canada, Great Lakes and Upper Plains.

Eastern Canada:
If Team 5 is ready to hand off in upstate NY, then getting him to a Quebec or Ontario rider should be fairly easy.  A fly in the ointment tho is that, at least in past years, Ontario is busy with bike events in August.  Is that still the case gents?

Great Lakes:
Pulling together the defunct Team Michigan thread and this thread, I plotted a course thru Michigan.  It's a 4-day rip along the lakes shores of Huron and Michigan.  Here is a map, NO START DATE YET.

https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=212639289406289974048.0004e372ae2cc33cc697e&msa=0&ll=43.794889,-84.353027&spn=4.63874,9.876709
Banker and Scrambler - We've already missed some primo Illinois and Wisconsin events.  Do you have some ideas on a tour on your side of the pond?

Upper Great Plains:
I haven't seen much talk from Iowa, Minnesota, the Dakotas and Nebraska.  If y'all are watching this thread, please chime in with ride ideas!

I figured I would ride with you guys then take GZ up to Wisconsin. Once we can figure out when he gets toToledo I can coordinate with Old Scrambler or Tewes or somebody for the handoff.

I like it when there is a plan......................My schedule is to return from Bonneville on September 1st.  If GZIII arrives after  Labor Day I could coordinate with Tews and other to get him to MN..............

I think Nebraska was covered by Grasshopper.

I have not heard from Iowa...............

Might be a bit optimistic Danny, as I understand it, the little guy is still in Virginia?  I hope to be corrected, but there seems to be a lot to cover in 2 1/2 weeks?

OldSchool, you asked about ON events, we've got the VRRA weekend at Mosport on the 23rd to 25th, then Labour Day (I am unavailable that weekend) & then the CVMG ride/fly in at Brampton on the 8th Sept.

Larecords, ya still out there buddy?  It would be great if Tripps could meet up with you & Tintop at Gananoque/Kingston & bring the Lizard to Mosport!  Then I could boot him down to Buffalo/Ohio, but it sounds a little early for that, sadly.

It still could happen if Team 5 could get GZ to apostrophe in Albany by the end of next weekend?

Unfortunately the NYC/Philly members don't seem to have the flexbility in their schedules to take a day off during the week to move GZ along in a timely fashion. This really seems to have been part of the pattern for this whole version of the rally, riding limited primarily to weekends.

Would you be able to meet apostrohe28 somewhere around Syracuse or Utica on 8-24, assuming we can get GZ to him by 8-18?

I can no longer enter Canada, after crossing for dozens and dozens of times over the years, I got pulled for a secondary inspection 2 years ago, they brought up a couple DWIs I got 12 and 20+ years ago, and said I could no longer enter Canada. I'd read about that crap over the years, but had never had a secondary inspection or issue before. Syracuse/Utica is just a hop, skip, and jump for me.

Let's see, I think Tripps can get GZ close to but not over the boarder.

Are there any Qubec and/or Ontario riders that can get GZ from NOrthern Upstate NY?

Since I think we have some Northern Ohio riders that want in on this, should we bring GZ back across at Niagra/Buffalo then head West to Toledo then Detroit?

Where & when in Upstate NY did you have in mind?  The plan to move him back to Niagara/Buffalo sounds reasonable.  As previously mentioned, we have the VRRA races at Mosport Aug 23~25.  I could possibly pick up on the 23 somewhere but couldn't move him again for 2 weeks.  The alternative is me delivering him to Niagara/Buffalo Sept 7 or 8?  Hopefully some others can fill these gaps?
