You'd think Retro would know. Are you buying or selling?

working?...if so, $1200 plus...do more research as I think this may be the low end of the spectrum, also depends on the market/demand in your area...and details like if the vacuum tubes are original or what they have been replaced with, speakers? other electric components?
If it works good, it looks good...

Selling. The amp is getting refurbished and the speakers are Celestions. I'm asking for a friend who got them in a recycle centre.

once it's all refurbed and you still intend to sell, DO NOT plug a guitar  (especially Gibson SG)into it.  It won't be going anywhere.

I was going to say 800-1000 but that is what I priced one at 10 years ago. I don't know much about them other than they are as loud as you need for anything smaller than an arena.

Telecaster type can make them rumble the house , too. I had one with active pickups that would be loud enough to shake a house.

Looks like a 1979 model, they were a bass amp but guitarists liked the smoother tone , not as much gain as the JCM lead series amps, $1200-$1500 dollars {not pounds}in good working order  and cleaned up, what model Celestions.? All Marshall quad boxes should have some sort of Celestions, usually V 30's , send it to me and i'll check it out for you... ;D

Sean, you think he would keep it if he heard an SG through it...?    Les Paul for me.... ;)

anything half way decent with humbuckers is gonna float most boats imo...single coils need the higher gain of the JCM's.  An old friend of mine had an SG and a JMP, just plug it in and it was just the right amount of overdrive with the humbuckers...no need for knob twiddling

Yes, i agree, you can't beat a good guitar through a Marshall, i've never been one to rely on pedals for tone, just good gear... ;)

I think that makes it a late 70's model head and cab.... ;)
