CB100/125 center stand interchangeable?
« on: July 16, 2013, 08:59:07 AM »
So yesterday I picked up a 1980 CB125S roller that I plan to drop a motor in. It doesn't have any stands though, and I don't think that this model actually came with a center stand. But it has the tabs in the frame for one.. and I think that any CB100/125 center stand will work. Can someone confirm?

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Tugboat,
Many will swap from different CB100/125 models;I'm sure about it in the "70's" years, but not sure about the 80's models.
I'm hoping to find an 81' or 82' CB125S sometime for small$(possibly one that's been left parked for years...?) & if you ever see one of those thats complete as is Please let me know.  :)
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
Do your BEST...nobody can take that away from you.

Our very original '78 CB125s doesn't have a center stand. I'm 95% sure they didn't come with one.

They don't really need one anyways. You can just about lift these up by hand.

Let us know if you can fit one in there, but I really think it's unnecessary. Those bikes with those engines need all the weight savings they can get.

That's true about the weight.. I just need a way to stand the thing up while I have the motor out. Maybe I'll just build something out of 2x4's :)
