SF Bay saying hello! 77 CB550k
« on: May 09, 2013, 06:01:20 PM »
Hi All,

Been a long time lurker, sorry it took a long time to join and contribute!  Hmm,  about me, I love classic cars (356 porshce is my fav), don't think I'll ever be able to afford that unless it's a barn find so the next best thing is a bike!  It's affordable and I can learn to work at my own pace.  I rode a 1998 FZR throughout college but gradually drifted way from the sport scene.

I bought my 77 cb550k almost 1 year ago, however, I travel a lot (160 domestic flights last year), so didn't have time to work on my bike.  I took a desk job and finally have time to get things moving along.

I read a ton of threads here while traveling (nothing else to do) and I hope I can learn and meet some you of folks in the near future.  There's a pic in my profile and i'll post a larger one via linked through photobucket after I hit 5 posts.

Lost of questions to ask and I hope everyone has the patience to bare with it.

- John

Thanks Brooze,

One thing I've learned so far is to have a good plan.  At the end of the day, I really just want to ride.  Performance would be nice, handling would be great, but if you load up on too many 'wants' you won't be riding for awhile, especially if you have a busy work schedule.
