Well I went and looked at a 2005 triumph Bonny today
« on: May 13, 2013, 08:56:47 PM »
I'm going to the bank tomorrow morning and see what happens next. The bike has 6xxx miles on it very nice in fact extremely nice. Has a $400.00 windsheild on it (dont really like it) a small sissy bar (feeling the same about the windshield). I have half cash the rest I'm getting from the bank hopefully. The guy was asking $4,500 for it but dropped it down to $4,000 firm been looking at these for awhile and this is about as cheap as it gets. For this particular bike at least in my area.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

I am sure you probably checked it already but the KBB dealer price is listed at $3995 so $4500 would definitely be high for an induvidual seller.
I would take him below $4k and throw the KBB out there for him, tell him he can keep his windshield.

I'd rather have this for $4K.
It will most likely appreciate in value and the 2005 will depreciate.

As I was going to the bank he called and told me he sold it. I'm going to kc this weekend and looking at brand new ones they are starting out for 7,000.  So it's back to the old drawing board for me. If this doesn't work out I'm just gonna stick with the old honda shadow 2000 on up.
