Thanks to everyone who voted on the poll!

Sorry I've been missing. Been a messy summer. LOL

So I've had numerous break downs so far. Most of it dumb crap. The power wire came off the ignition one time, next time the clutch messed up (just needed to be adjusted,) the headlight wiring melted(pictures for that one!) and now my front brake went. Uck. So I'm waiting on a new piston currently...

This is my headlight mess. All fixed now.

Also my Mr. I Rock hubby got me this new tank by working on a guys bike:

At first I was going to paint it but the more I look at it I just can't. It's beautiful the way it is. However that means changing the colour on my bike. Lord I can not make up my mind.. Gold frame? Black rims? Red Frame? All black? I have no freaking clue.

Also I hate (HATE) my little gauges. The light burnt out on the speedo already and the wires tore right off the back of the tach so no lights on that at all. And they bounce horribly. Once I hit 110kms forget it. I have no idea of anything after that point. Thankfully I have not thrown out anything so the old ones are going back on minus it's ugly casing. So I'll need to make brackets for them and somehow spruce up their faces. I think there's a thread on that somewhere? I'll probably switch back to my original headlight too.

My bike is supposed to go in a bike show here in two weeks but if I don't get my piston for the caliper by then that won't be happening. So yeah lot's going on...

And I have a postcard to send out too.. so behind.. lol

Welcome back. That tank s beautiful, very hard painting over nice original paint.  Maybe keep that original and reprint the other (again).

Ah, life with a vintage motorcycle! Get that thing up and running or I'll sweep the vintage metric class at the bike show. :P

Haha Terry. I expect your gonna nail that to begin with! But someone needs to give you a run for your money!! :P

Thanks for the welcome back guys. :)

Stev-o: The green tank is junk. The Kreem coating is peeling off, there's a hole straight through the tank where the emblem goes, and the rust was so bad that even though we chemically cleaned it, it still has scale. The cap had to be drilled through because it wasn't venting.. etc... We just made it work until I could find something better.

I think I'm leaning towards a red frame, fenders, wheel rims and everything else black to match the tank.... I'll probably change my mind within the week. LOL

How'd you melt the headlight wiring? Use too strong of a bulb?

Nope. It was all factory. We figure it was a flaw straight from the factory cause there was no reason for it.

My piston came in Friday afternoon. The line was just horrid to bleed but we got it after fighting with it for ummm... okay maybe a few hours.  ??? I'm really glad I got it from where I did! Perfect match and it works great!

So I scrubbed the bike down, took it for a test ride with Terry and popped it in the bike show. I won second place for the vintage metric. I"m thrilled with that but we are gonna work on getting an actual cafe section with cafe criteria for the judging. They were judged on just their prettiness. LOL

Was fun for our first bike show. :)

Been thinking about this paint.. It's depressing to think that my bike would be red, black or gold. Although the  tank is original, I can't do those colours. They just are not me. Sooo yes I'm evilly going to strip it and paint it green. If I can find a reasonable price I might get it painted in my colours to match how it looks otherwise I'm thinking of just powder coating it.

Thanks guys!

Damn bike broke again last night. Lasted a whole 4 days this time!  :o Had went for a long ride (a few hours with no cell service) then got back to town. Hung out and had tea, then went to go for another ride, hit a bump, heard a loud pop/bang and everything went out. Damn ignition wire pulled off again. Terry and a few others were with me and hung out until my bf could rescue me with the truck, again. Hauled her off to the shop.

Went to work with my bf and spent the next ten hours getting this cranky bike going again. This morning I was pulling my hair out trying to find an ignition for it. BF to the rescue, again. LOL I tell ya, if it wasn't for him and Terry I'd have thrown her in the lake a long time ago. Anyways, stole the ignition off his 650 and put my stock cluster back on. Just ordered new headlight ears to put my stock light back on (the little one looks really weird now.) This winter will have to clean up my stock gauges. They are a mess but they work great and I won't have this problem ever again! I also unwound three quarters of my wiring and rewrapped it because I had done it too tightly to begin with, which was half my issues.

So here she is...
