I was given this bike years ago, and this year I'm finally trying to make use of it. I took the carbs off to clean them, but I'm having trouble remembering exactly how the throttle cable hooks up. Nothing seems to be working so far. I've spent entirely too much time on this.

I haven't been able to find any pictures/diagrams to help me. If anyone can provide some assistance, especially in picture form, I would really appreciate it. I'm not positive that the choke cable is properly hooked up either, but it seems to work for the moment.

The pull cable goes under the throttle shaft, the end hooks in the throttle shaft wheel on the airbox side, and the cable end with adjuster hooks in the lower "u" part of the plate.

The push cable (if it is still there) goes over the throttle shaft and hooks the same wheel, adjuster hooks in the other "u"

The choke cable goes over the top of the carb bank, down the airbox side and hooks in the slotted loose hook connected to the choke shaft.
Cable then is clamped to the carb bank support bar with phillips screw.

Buy a Clymers" workshop manual it shows a very good diagram.

Thanks for the replies. A good workshop manual would probably do wonders. I do believe I have the cables correct. Push cable definitely isn't there though.

Only problem I'm having now is carb #1 seems to be leaking gas into the airbox. The carbs looked very good as far as I and my buddy could tell, so we just did some minor cleaning. Hopefully I'll get this bike going before summer is over.
