How many miles did you have on the rear before you left?
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Sun is back out - of course all out gear is now drying out.

Tomorrow - waterfall tour - you can park behind the waterfall! Looking forward to that pic.

Mooshie you would love the roads here - it's like a biker paradise - well if you twisty roads it is. And yes someday (maybe next trip?) I will ride with you out West. It's only a matter of time :)

Andy, where were you in that photo? Should have mentioned, 221 on back side of GrandFather Mountain (Linville, NC) is a fun road over to Blowing Rock unless they have redone it. Lots of twisties up and down the mountain sides.

I am surprised you feel your tire is worn out in that few miles, it looks as if you still have good tread depth. Must be worse than it appears to be in the photos.

Yes tire is worse than in photos and its only been 2000 miles. I doubt it would get another 1000 miles to get me home (always wears faster at the end). So will change it before leaving MaggieValley. I did do the Grandfather mountain road in damp conditions

Yesterday was a rest day - only 200 miles up and down the parkway to Devils Courthouse (did it twice - second time when Jim/K4 arrived).

Pics from yesterday below. Bike rolled over 80,000 miles at the start of the day :)
