New project, almost done.
« on: May 11, 2013, 07:32:33 PM »
I know, haven't posted in a while...and I haven't posted progress pics.
But, here is what I've been working on for a while. I'm almost done.

It's pretty much a full custom at this point. All aluminum tank, tail, and fairing. Exhaust is full stainless, came out really nicely. It was the first time I made an exhaust for a 4-cylinder. Subframe is aluminum too.

I'm wiring it up right now. Really hope to have it running Monday.

Looks great, monoshock looks well done {for a change}  ;D ;)

How much for a headlight fairing like yours, i gather you made it..?

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Rocket,
Thanks for the kind words! I did make the fairing. To make it mount, I also had to do custom brackets to mount the headlight to, so those would be needed also.
We could talk over PM about price. I don't want this thread to be cluttered with that stuff if that's cool.? :)

I'm at work!!! But for anyone who's interested, I can get to posting progress pics soon. I feel obligated to anyway, because I know how much I enjoy reading about other peoples' journey to bike work. I should repay the favor!!

Fairing pics.

I made a wire form of what I wanted the fairing to look like, then shaped the aluminum to fit. Pieces are joined by rivets.
