Seems like this is something that probably has good results in a Top fuel, or Funny Car.

Our 44 amp mags pretty much take care of those pesky indexing issues.  ::)
Top Fuel burns the ground strap off.....in one run.

Here is a chat I had with Ian King, European Top Fuel Champion copied and pasted from Facebook.

Sam Green
Hi Ian, can I ask you a simple question, what type of plugs do you run, are they race plugs with the earth electrode inside the plug or do they have it in the normal position?

00:07
Ian King
Normal plugs, NGK JR10B's

00:09
Sam Green
Are they the ones with the normal earth strap that sticks out into the combustion chamber?

00:09
Ian King
Yes

00:09
Sam Green
Do you index them ?

00:10
Ian King
No

Sam Green
Thanks, It's been a question asked on my race forum, I guess in a top fuel motor it don't make a lot of difference.

Ian King
Depends......

Interesting reply to your questions Sam.  I gave up on doing it as the potential improvement would be to small to make any difference with my limited HP.
