Hey, I'm another new guy. I just picked up a 74 cb750. I've been wanting to build a bike for years, I just have never been able to make time for one. I have reasonable mechanical experience, I've built jeeps and land cruisers in the past but never a motorcycle. So this is all new, and I have plenty of questions. For instance I have attempted to post my introduction already with no luck . Second time a charm? I like this site, spending most of the day here today ignoring my children, but answering plenty of dumb questions for me.
I picked up my 74 for $350, from what i can see it's 90% there. Missing the airbox and fuel cap , wiring not completely hacked. It doesn't start (no batt) but it does turn over with the kick start and appears to shift through all the gears. Oil is not burnt, no major leaks except from the left front lower cover minor drip. I plan on working on it this weekend, I'm sure thats when the questions will start.
