77 CB550k Rear Hub Dimension
« on: May 20, 2013, 04:10:21 PM »
Hi All,

Been hunting for a more affordable alloy rim that's stock size.  www.buchananspokes.net is a bit out of my price range, but will buy as a last resort.

I've already sourced a 76' GL1000 front rim, I know the rear is only 17" however I want to keep my 18" (bought tires some shinko's 712 already).

Saw this on Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160955713342?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648

Descriptions are what I need: 18x1.85 40 spoke.  Would this fit my rear hub?  The description says it's drilled for a 6-8" full width or single sided hub.  When I asked the seller if this would fit my honda, hey says: "if its a full width hub it should work great"

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

The rear of what is 17"? Standard 550 rear is 18" 1.85 40 spoke.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

The rear of the Gl is 17" but I want to keep the 18" as the stock 550 is 18"

They show the correct measurements. I wish I could get my hands on those rims, they are very pretty.   8) And cheaper than this.

I'm trying to find a aluminum/alloy rims and made the mistake of ordering a stock D.I.D. rim on accident (was so excited to find the right size, lessoned learned).

I bit the bullet and bought the rim...will post on quality and how well it's fits.  Would be nice alternative to cheaper alloy rim.  Total came out to be 96 after tax w/ free shipping.
