Will a 1981 CB750 fender fit a .....

Will a 1981 CB750 fender fit my 1977 CB750F ?  I am replacing my fender and like the later model fenders without the chrome brackets.

Probably fell through the cracks, but does anyone have any knowledge on this ?

I looked into this a while ago. The brackets are different lengths because they mount at different heights on the fork tubes. It will work I think if you swap the brackets.
