Stupid cats!
« on: May 17, 2013, 05:24:03 AM »
How many times do I have to tell them;
do NOT poop in my garden,

Do NOT kill frogs, frogs are good, you are supposed to kill mice. >:(

Might have to take their catnip away.

I believe I will have to send them to Cat Basics Camp or as we
animal lovers call it CBC.

peace,
michel

I thought pooping in the garden and killing small creatures were cat basics!   ;)

Here's my current brood. The 3 larger ones from my cat are 6 weeks old and the tiny one in the middle is an abandoned new born that we found behind the dumpster at the local oil lube place and is now 3 weeks old. Mother had abandoned 6 of them right after birth. When I showed up they were 2 days old and only 2 remained. I thought their only chance of survival was to bring them home to my litter and hope momma adopts them. One died about a week later but this one is a survivor.

Those are some pretty kittens.  ;D

I never liked cats until I got married and had a wild cat
whom would do wierd stuff like:

our 2nd apartment had a refriderator located next to the entrance door,
the cat would hide on top and when you turned your back
to close the door he would SLAP me upside the head 3-5 times
then scat and hide,

My wife loves those small, ugly scatter rugs.
Guess it made the apartment look bigger to her,
Anyways,
the cat would drag them around the apartment when we were at work.
You never knew where they would be.

This apartment was in a densely packed neighborhood,
so I had to go a block or 2 to go jogging at the local futball pitch.
One day the cat got out, followed me to the pitch and
when I turned around he was jogging with me.
Not all around the field, obviously, but for quite a ways.

UNTIL he noticed a large , loud barking dog.
Said dog was tied up with a large chain .
Cat went over to the  "see-through" fence,
hopped on the top and stared at the dog.
(not sure what it is called, but it was wire and you could see the dog going crazy,
pulling at his chain for all he was worth)
Cat notices dog can't reach him,
so cat slowly walks up to within 3 feet of the now almost insane dog,
sits down,
and licks his paws.  ;D  ;D

He did many other strange things and since sharing time on this planet
with that cat I changed my attitude towards cats.

peace,
michel

PS. He was not one of my Stupid Cats!

Sad to report the little stray died in his sleep Saturday night. We gave it our best shot but it just wasn't enough. RIP little one.

When I was in high school we had a cat that had a regular habit of sitting on my shoulders while I was eating breakfast.

There is nothing better in the world in the morning than a cat purring in your ear, warming your neck - and yes I tried morning sex,  but this is much better.  Out of bed in the cold cruel world and somebody is warming your neck - priceless.

Sorry to read/hear the little one passed. Thanks for showing it some love while it was here.

Some cats like me and will crawl all over me and let me pet them and play with them, others give me wide berth and are afraid of me. Dogs are a mixed bag and I prefer medium to large dogs. I dislike small dogs, especially yippy ankle biters like minature and toy poodles. I think I prefer cats.

yeah i'm more of a cat person myself.  i like dogs when they belong to other people -- and +1 -- mainly larger dogs.   the little dogs (not all, but a lot of them) seem to have something to prove and are usually more aggressive.  i do have a weird soft spot for yorkies for some reason.  they seem well-tempered and i always thought it would be funny to keep a whole herd of them with spiked collars.

Once a stray cat abandoned her litter of 4 kittens under the back step of our house, eyes weren't open yet so of course they weren't weened either and all 4 crying in hunger under our steps. At first I put my foot down and said NO we are not bringing them in but the endless crying all day long broke both my boys hearts whom were very young at the time so they broke my heart and I gave in. OK so now what do we do with 4 unweened kittens? I gave my sis inlaw a call who worked at a vets office at the time and she gave me a home brew kitten formula recipe so my wife and I would each grab a chair with 2 kittens on our lap and fed them day after day. Problem was 2 of them wandered outside behind the tires of my truck and I unknowingly ran them over. Totally bummed me out because we had worked so hard to save them only to have me run 2 of them over. The other 2 lived a long life but after they were gone I have no desire for any more cats.

Some cats are more equal than other cats.
