I have a K2 as well, bought it early last year:

The PO really hacked the wiring and is on the back burner while I restore my Z1.
As she sits now...

Frame # 2029373

Hey Steve is that one of the NY bikes?  Looks great!

Sorry for the thread jack just had to ask Steve-O about his 72.  You look like you got a very nice bike there should be a worthy restoration project.  Got my eye on a 72 as well.

Ok here is what i have,  its titled 73, but the frame says 7/72

frame number 2051211
engine number 2058887

It should still be a 72 no?

pic of the tank,   its being soaked in metal rescue,   inside is actually decent.  will be getting new petcock. Then selling the tank and side covers.

im going to soak them in wood bleach to get some surface rust off.  it will make them shine up like new. then throw them on just before the rockers reunion in indy.

Are you interested in a trade on the tank and sidecovers?  I might have a good straight tank that is painted.  Can include a new set of side covers as well.

cleaned the tank inside, new petcock,  pulled off the king queen and put a repro on her.  Looking better.  Now to pull off the junk pipes.   headers on these pipes are in great shape, but the right muffler is shot.  ill get a pic soon.
