Sunday it will be live on bangshift.com  ADRL Cordova Il. We were slowest to make it in but didn't change gears for the 1/8 mile and didn't use nitrous.  8)

We won first round and met up with the eventual winner in round two. Ran 4.79 at 144 mph in the 1/8 mile. We had a great weekend and learned a lot. I didn't have the decal but I loaded my 76 750F in the trailer and took it along. I left the tow rig there and rode the bike the hour to and from home friday and saturday. I met a couple 750 guys and sent them here. One old timer  who has his dads bike and a young guy doing it on his own.

The yellow supercharged car was qualified #2, notice the AL-Anabi jr dragster in the background. They finished second to our friends kid. The #1 qualifier took advantage of a 4th session and added 200 hp of nitrous and 4 seconds on the timer to his 582" big block chevy style engine. That looked like a wild ride.
We ran on just motor with a 567" BBC. The engine is new and the back half of the chassis is too. We were a little conservative but it just costs too much to chance breaking it so soon.

Here is the back half we built over winter. I built a tubing bender and borrowed the chassis jig from a friend that builds Street Rods. We extended it 6 feet.

Cordova Illinois is where the track is. The 567 is a 4.61 bore and a 4.25 stroke. Aftermarket Dart block and BMF heads made by Carl Foltz. Single 1150 cfm carb on VP q16 oxygenated gas.
