Hi,
Anyone out there know BSA's? Im working on putting a '69 A65 back together. I noticed the drive shaft bearing by where the shaft goes through the dust seal, has a gap. In other words, there is approximately a 1/8" gap between the bearing and the inside lip of the dust seal.
I cannot find a good picture from disassembly nor internet searching to determine if there is supposed to be a spacer in between the bearing and the seal. The parts books I have arent clear either. Just wondering if anyone could enlighten me. Im thinking its OK and there is another piece which fits into that seal from the other side, thus sealing up that transmission, but I thought I would check here to get any ideas. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Jim
