Hey Duster, ride up here to the mountains and share your twisties :)

That's not "Brokeback Mountain" you're meeting Dusty to smoke some ceegars, is it cowboy? Ha ha, put down those pearl handled six guns cow-poke, I'm just kidding! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I like Leonard St.....Street? Yes...goes from Downtown Grand Rapids, twisting and turning along the Grand River all the way out to Lake Michigan..
Another is U.S. 20 that runs along the northern borders of Ohio and Indiana...it's not twisty at all, in fact, it's absolutely straight...so straight, you don't have to think...just put your feet up on the highway pegs and go...and absolutely flat..you can see for miles in any direction...I was once trying to avoid a monster of a storm that was coming from the north...I just kept riding until I was past it, then turned north...

The best in the province ( BC)..Highway 3A from Crawford Bay to Creston.  Follows the shore along Kootenay Lake.  Voted best ride in British Columbia.

Hey, Dave! You ever ride IN 150 between Shoals and West Baden? I haven't done it on a bike yet but it's rather interesting in a 1 ton van!  :o That IN 450 looks good on the map. Might have to try it out sometime.
If you ever find yourself closer to the Louisville area, let me know!

I've ridden that a couple times over the years.  Nice road but a fair amount of traffic if you hit the wrong time of day.  I ride with group from work and we like to head south from time to time, I'll let you know when we are planning our next ride.

Santiago Canyon Road in SoCal at the beginning of widening and straightening in the '80's.  There was this S turn, signed for 30 mph that WAS 30 mph on a bike if you were a beginner.  I was cruising south, on my CB350F cafe at 70 mph with an 18 wheeler on my tail. :(  We both entered that S turn at 70, I whipped the 350 through it.  Out the other end the 18 wheeler was STILL on my tail. :o  At this point the road became 4 lanes (the first segment that was widened and straightened) and I let him pass.
Now  1972 CB350FX (experimental v2.0)
        1981 CB650c Custom with '79 engine (wifes)
        1981 CB650 engine
        2004 HD XL883C Custom
        1977 Yamaha XS750D (in progress)
Then 1972 CL175
        1964 Yamaha YGS-1T
No ride is a Bad ride

Hey Terry, can you say "Quigley". I prefer a Sharps 45/70 :)

Damn, now I have to move back to the level lands. :)

G'Day mate, that's a nice rifle for sure, I've got an ancient Brown Bess/Snyder conversion carbine, very well travelled, it started off in the Peninsula wars against Napoleon (manufactured around 1808-1810) then was converted and sold by the Brits to the Confederate Army, it's a lovely old thing and one day I'd like to fire it, (I've also got an operational  black-powder "Ward and sons" shotgun, circa 1860ish) but it's pretty crude engineering, so I might have to tie it to a tree and use a long piece of string for the first few loads, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

yer shotgun reminds me of one a fellow gave me when I was about 12.
An Iver Johnson 12 gauge 32" full choke single shot. It had seen some pretty rough
times. First time I shot it, the forearm came off, forearm held the barrel on so,
it fell too. I caught the barrel on the way down. Had to duct tape the thing on there :)

Hey, send me a picture of that Brown Bess/Snyder. I like to see it.

 Hey ces,
I am going to go ride Leonard street today, actually right now. Sounds like it could be a cool ride. The woman is on the war path today so I figure I will go away for a while and let her cool out a little bit. I will let you know what I think of this ride when I get back.
Cheers
Bruce
p.s. I you know of any other cool riding spots in the Grand Rapids area let me know would ya. I live near Grand Rapids also.

I found the Leonard street ride to be to short, not enough corners, to much slow moving farm equipment, and to top it all off there was construction detours. I did see two yearling fawns though, glad they did not run out in front of me. It was a decent ride, but rather tame for my liking. Oh and also way to mant 25,35, and 45 mile an hour zones. Just my .02 worth.
