That would be rather difficult to do. A lot depends on the condition of the bike. Three main categories of vintage bikes.
Original bikes
Survivor bikes
Restoration bikes
A showroom condition original bike would be worth a lot more than a showroom condition restoration bike. Survivor bikes are usually not stock and can bring decent money depending on the mods and the condition of the bike. I don't see how a book would be able to cover all that. And another thing you have to take into consideration, something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. A VERY NICE 3 digit VIC WORLD RESTORATION SANDCAST only got a high bid of 14.6k on ebay which was about 10k less than the reserve and 1/2 what the bike cost from Vic World Cycles to begin with.
