Even if I have to prop her eyeballs open with toothpicks, she'll be there.  :o

I wonder what bike you'll be riding then, Kit? We may be able to get Lola roadworthy by then if we really try.  ;) ;D

you can do it!

I wish I could've started riding my bike after I took the TO class... but my bike wasn't really road-worthy until a year after.  If I managed a 650 right after Team Oregon with no bike in between, you'll be ok with yours. :)  Just take your time and let your clutch lever be your teddy bear and baby blanket. :D  Worked for me!

Welcome to the SOHC addiction support group.  Portland has some really great folks here on the forum who are amazingly helpful and just plain fun to hang with... and occasionally we get together and ride.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll keep on chugging along so I can join you guys for a ride sometime and not hold you back. I'm lucky my ride is road-worthy right off the bat so I can wait until the weather gets bad to do some work on it. When that time hits I'll see you guys over on the repair forums!

Guys, I may not be able to make the 17th. I'm supposed to be getting underway around that time, but we'll see what happens!

Heh....I've already got one, definitely strange to NOT shift down going into a corner...oh yeah, my high range doesn't work right now so it's a one speed....but I have a couple extra A motors, I keep fantasizing about building a chopper with the totally clean front end...no brake, no clutch, throttle cables tucked in the bars, spool hub on a 21" wheel at the end of an 8 over springer... 8)  Actually kinda surprised it's still available, the last couple I've seen for sale didn't last a week.

not really mentioned much in that ad is the fact that that day (may 1) at PIR is the AHRMA (vintage) event, and first race of the season. the Flying Fifteen MC are hosting the slow race and other events in the lot. there will be lots of great vintage bikes there, and at least one CB750 racing.
